Meet the Owners

Hey! We're Eric and Mallory Friese, owners of Cheerful Bean. We also own a coffee company called Soul Caffeine, a roastery and cafe with three locations on the Gulf Coast of Alabama. We got our start in fundraising when our oldest son joined Cub Scouts. Now with three kids in Scouting, finding creative ways to pay for Summer Camp and High Adventure led us to explore alternative fundraising options. Not everyone enjoys selling popcorn, but pretty much everyone loves coffee, so here we are.

Over the years, we've partnered with many organizations to help raise funds and support non-profits. Cheerful Bean was founded to not only help others raise money but also to give repeat customers the chance to turn their daily cup of coffee into an opportunity to support great causes. A portion of our retail sales goes toward supporting featured projects each year, creating a ripple effect of positivity with every purchase.
